Shawn Mendes Says Camila Cabello 'Blows His Mind'

Shawn Mendes is opening up about his love for Camila Cabello, but don’t get TOO excited because no, they’re still not dating.
And just when that got ya, HOLD UP, he’s also getting all kinds of candid about the scary side of FAME. BUCKLE UP KIDS, it’s FRIYAY.
First up let’s talk about Shawn and Camilla… No, They are NOT dating… They’ve said it before (although, super unconvincingly)
ANYWAYS… Shawn is covering Seventeen’s June/July’s issue and while he did confirm they are just friends, he also gushed about Camila quite a bit saying QUOTE:
“She’s phenomenal. I love her. And she’s so talented,” Shawn continued by saying “She’s one of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met and super, super-smart. We aren’t dating, but musically she just blows my mind.”
Okay, okay so that was pretty Anti-climactic. I mean we already know they have a talent crush on one another… So basically, we’re moving on.
Shawn also talked about his new music saying QUOTE: “It’s a mix of pop and like a John Mayer-and-Ed Sheeran acoustic feel all in one,” Shawn told Seventeen. “I have songs about growing up, about ex-relationships — ex-relationship, I should say,” he said. “I haven’t had relationships. A couple of songs about relationships with girls since fame.”
Although, no word yet on when we can expect new music, because he said he’s going to keep on writing until he feels he’s ready to release the album.
Aside from relationships, he also opened up quite a bit about fame and how it’s affected him saying QUOTE: "It's hard for me to just say, 'Wow, this is amazing — I'm famous. I'm living the dream,'" he says. "I sit there and think, I'm scared — this can go away tomorrow. My dad always says that I'm a tortured soul because I'm never pleased; I never feel like I deserve what I've achieved."
Another thing that’s kept Shawn grounded and down to earth is avoiding the party scene. He told the mag that drugs scare the shit out of him… He explained that he has a thing, where, if he’s not in control her feels like the world is going to collapse, so he just doesn’t.
