Camila Cabello FREAKS OUT & Reacts To Album Going Platinum

It’s a good week to be Camila Cabello. It was revealed online yesterday that Camila’s debut album Camila was certified Platinum in the US! That means 1 MILLION of us bought Camila’s debut album. For Camila, the certification is justification of a killer album. For her record label, this means financial success. So it’s a big deal no matter how you slice it.
Naturally, Camila herself totally freaked over the news. She reacted to the platinum status on Instagram posting a photo of the certification and writing QUOTE, “‪Never in a million years did i think this would happen right now. And I’m not just saying that. I never ever expected this- making this album changed my life and it means so much to me that you guys love it.. JESUS I AM OVER. WHELMED.”
Camila seems to be living out Taylor Swift’s surprised face, but we’re over here nodding our head. Camila totally deserves this and we’re not that surprised at her album’s major success. Over on Twitter, Camila paired her disbelief with some humor writing, “I CANT BELIEVE MY ALBUM JUST WENT PLATINUM. Is everyone in on this prank that Ashton Kutcher is playing on me? Am I being PUNK’d?! THIS DOES NOT FEEL REAL.”
While that’s an excellent reference, it’s not true. There’s no PUNKing to be had here. And this news seems to be the perfect way to kick off the Reputation Tour with Taylor Swift and Charli XCX. We hear that if Charli has it her way, we’ll be seeing a Camila, Taylor, Charli collab very soon. Charli told People that she hopes to write alongside these musical poets while on the road, “Writing with other females who are really prolific writers is always so much fun.” Charli says she’s never been in the studio with Taylor before, but she has worked with Camila multiple times and admits she’s “really inspiring.”
