Camila Cabello announces her emotional debut album and teases her first single!
Here’s everything you need to know about Camila’s debut album.
OK, Spring keeps getting better and better. Sunday night Camila Cabello FINALLY announced her debut album, and it’s all very emotional. In a lengthy twitter post the singer revealed her debut album is called (deep breath everyone): “The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.”
Camila wrote in a message to her fans QUOTE, "The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving. is the story of my journey from darkness into light, from a time when I was lost to a time when I found myself again. The story behind the album starts with the second song that you'll hear called 'I Have Questions,' which I started writing in a hotel bathroom on tour a little over a year ago.”
And thus, Camila’s first single was born. “I Have Questions” is coming this Friday, May 19th! The singer went on to explain that the song was written during a time when she was completely broken and was at first scared to write about what she was going through. But soon after that was ALL she could write about. Camila revealed that she penned a sad song every day until she couldn’t be sad anymore. Her songs started getting happier, and Camila realized she was healing. Camila realized she was no longer writing songs just to make an album, she was making music to heal. Shortly after the singer realized she was delivering a message through her work and it was in the hurting, the healing and the loving.
Camila ended her heartfelt post by thanking those powerful moments in her life and wrote, “...to the loving, you are even more beautiful than I remember.”
So far no word on when the album will drop, but it sounds like we’re going to get some new details on her exit from Fifth Harmony. In the meantime, we have Camila’s first song to look forward to on May 19th, and it seems we’ll get to hear the song LIVE soon after the release. The singer is set to take the stage to perform at the Billboard Music Awards on May 21st.
