Camila took to Twitter to write a special message to fans, thanking them for all of their support throughout her first year as a solo singer! Camila also said that she was told that her hit song, “Havana”, would never be a hit. Her message read QUOTE, “people kept saying to us that this song was never gonna work at radio because they didn't think people would "get it", and today Havana is 1 at pop radio, thanks to my amazing fan army and my lovely friends at radio for believing and supporting”. She followed up that tweet with QUOTE, “accomplishments are never the important part, getting to make music and do what i love everyday is really the reward, but i know how hard u guys go for me and i really appreciate anybody who's ever believed and supported me on this journey so far”.
Okay can we just point out that whoever told her “Havana” wouldn’t be a hit needs to get a new job because we all know that song is a BOP. Camila deserves all the success she’s having and then some, and she’s clearly gonna get it when her album DOES drop, because her stans are READY. While she hasn’t announced a release date for the album just yet, but Camila has said it’ll be out early next year. She announced the album was finished with an adorable black and white picture along with the caption QUOTE, “my first album is done and the butterflies in my stomach are fully aware”. Since we know Camila has since changed the title of the album from “The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving”, to something else she hasn’t announced yet, fans are now speculating that the title might be “Butterflies” based on that caption. Whatever it’s called, we cannot WAIT for more of Camila’s music because if the rest of the album is half as good as “Havana”, we’ll be one very happy fan army.
Alright guys now I wanna hear your thoughts on Camila’s album being finished--what do you think she’ll call it? And how excited are you to hear it next year?!
