Surely your local townsmen messenger has alerted you that Yeezus and Lady West have named their first born son, Saint West. And the internet wasted no time cranking out the jokes.
It was a bit of a letdown for some when Kim and Kanye didn’t name their newborn Easton to continue the coordinates trend, but Saint West proved to be a hit. The masses flocked to social media once the name announcement was made and the biblical references were never ending.
Ellen DeGeneres tweeted –“ Kim and Kanye’s baby is named Saint West! No word yet on what he’s the patron Saint of, but my bet is Instagram.” Aunty Khloe Kardashian couldn’t have been more excited saying QUOTE – “My little nephew was born. He is so cute and so perfect. I love him and mommy and daddy are doing fantastic.”
Coincidentally Kim gave birth in the same hospital where Lamar Odom is currently recovering so Khloe was on double duty. She tweeted – “I know these hospital halls way too well. Hoping from one room to another.”
While many were excited about the birth of baby Saint, some were over it before the little guy even popped out. Ricky Gervais, of course, was not having it. He tweeted – “No Spoilers! Please don't tell me what Kim & Kanye have named their baby yet. I don't want to know. Ever. Thanks.” But the rest of the internet couldn’t wait. One person tweeted – “Saint West sounds like a clothing store where I couldn't even afford to buy socks.” Another kept with the biblical trend tweeting - “On the fifth of December, Yeezus Christ had a son named Saint West.” Buzzfeed opted for the popular baby saint emoji plastered on a saint’s face and many couldn’t help but to make the Yeezus- Saint correlation. But despite the assumption that Kim and Kanye named their baby Saint because of Kanye’s nickname, an insider told Us Weekly that they actually named him Saint because he was a miracle baby due to all of Kim’s pregnancy complications.
E! has reported that Kim and Kanye have indeed now left the hospital with Saint, but Kim has not confirmed the news. Kris, Kourtney, and Khloe were all present at the hospital during the big bang, but Kendall and Kylie were out of state.
