From Kanye to Ariana Grande- Celeb Reactions to Bruce Jenner Interview
Bruce Jenner’s triumphant Diane Sawyer interview, in which he spoke openly and publicly for the first time about his transition into becoming a woman, was met with a wave of celebrity reactions and support.
The interview with Diane Sawyer aired Friday night and sparked a huge response that as I’m sure you well know, took over the internet and the news for the rest of the night.
And in a world where people can be so nasty and mean on social media, it was beautiful to see how much support was poured out Bruce’s way from some of your favorite celebs.
Despite what some had previously reported, Bruce’s family was amongst the biggest devotees leading the support for Bruce train.
Kendal Jenner posted a picture of a note she wrote when she was just in 5th grade saying QUOTE - “if I could be anybody in the world I would be my dad.” Kendall captioned the photo of the note saying QUOTE - I wrote this in 5th grade... nothing has changed.”
She then extended her support on Twitter saying– “so very proud of you, my hero. I love you.”
Kylie showed her support for her dad on Instagram as well posting a photo of him rocking a crop top with the caption - daddy throwback. #Tonight #DianeSawyer #ABC #love.”
She opened up more on Twitter saying QUOTE - Understandingly, this has been very hard for me. You will hear what I have to say when I'm ready to but....this isn't about me. I'm so proud of you, Dad. You are so brave. My beautiful Hero.”
Brody Jenner was also chugging along on the support for Bruce train by posting a picture of him high fiving his dad with the sweet caption – “You won another gold tonight. I stand with you on this journey. I love you Dad.”
Bruce’s former wife Linda Thompson also gave a very interesting interview to the Huffington post in which she shows immense support for Bruce, having known his secret for years now. Within the interview she says QUOTE - My hope and my prayer is that humanity has evolved enough and been properly educated to exercise kindness toward those who have struggled or who we may perceive to be "different." She ended her note by emphasizing the importance of being kind.
Which is so important. It is so great that in 2015 Bruce was presented with an overwhelming amount of support and love. I, too, got chills watching that interview. Bruce has taken the word hero to a whole new, inspiring place.
