Demi received an outpouring of support after she was hospitalized for her life-threatening overdose, and now she’s getting even more love from some celeb friends and fans now that she’s being released.
Demi announced that she was leaving the hospital through an Instagram post, in which she thanked family, friends, hospital staff, and fans for their support during her ordeal. She also reminded all of us that addiction is not an illness that disappears or simply fades with time, adding QUOTE, “I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting.”
After Demi shared her statement, which was her first since she was hospitalized almost two weeks ago, celeb fans and friends commented with words of love, strength, and encouragement.
Lauren Jauregui wrote QUOTE, "Sending you so much love mama," meanwhile Camila Cabello and Hailey Baldwin each commented on the post with heart emojis.
Demi’s close friend Ruby Rose shared QUOTE, “Oh babe x so much love”, and Khloe Kardashian wrote QUOTE, “You are a warrior!! Focus on you and know that everyone is rooting for you! You are so very loved!” Dwayne The Rock Johnson also chimed in with some encouragement, writing QUOTE, “You will come out on the other side. Stay Strong D.” Words of encouragement from The Rock are somehow next-level powerful, so we’re sure his confidence in Demi gave her a much-needed boost.
Rapper Macklemore left a more personal note for Demi, expressing his own struggles with addiction. He shared QUOTE, “Sending love Demi. I've relapsed many times. The recovery community has always welcomed me back with infinite love and support. Always here for you. One day at a time.”
