Demi Lovato will be leaving the hospital this week and her teams feels they know what’s best.
We’re hoping that Demi can back into recovery soon.
It appears that Demi is on the mend from her overdose last week, and will reportedly be leaving the hospital in a few days. Sources told TMZ that Demi has stabilized from her overdose and that her team is committed to getting her into rehab once she checks out of the hospital.
However, the decision to go to rehab or not is ultimately Demi’s, though the same sources that her team and people closest to her are putting their foot down and saying that if she wants them in her life, she has to go to back to rehab. One told TMZ, QUOTE "She could die if she doesn't, and that's not going to be on my watch that we did nothing."
Tensions had been running high since Demi reportedly fell off the wagon months ago, a relapse that hasn’t been kept exactly secret, especially with the release of her song ‘Sober’, in which she apologizes for no longer being sober. Her family as been supporting her through her recovery, with her mother barely leaving her side in the nine days since she’s been there, and her ex boyfriend visiting her at least twice, staying for hours at a time.
We certainly hope Demi is going to get the help she needs in her recovery and urge anyone struggling with substance abuse or addiction to call theSubstance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s 24-hour treatment referral hotline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357) or visit Findtreatment.samhsa.gov for free and confidential help.
