Demi Lovato's Backup Dancer DEFENDS Herself Against Lovatics After Demi's Alleged Overdose

Demi Lovato‘s friend and backup dancer is finally speaking out after being criticized by countless fans for causing the singer’s alleged drug overdose.
She says she wasn’t even with Demi when the alleged overdose occurred.
The night before Demi Lovato allegedly overdosed, she was celebrating longtime friend and backup dancer Dani Vitale’s (Vih-tally) birthday at a club in Los Angeles. Sources say they say the “Tell Me You Love Me” singer doing shots and getting crazy, which is why many people blame Dani for having a hand in Demi’s reported overdose. While Dani’s family came forward last week to assure everyone she’s QUOTE “far from a druggie” and has no control on the 25-year-old’s partying habits, the redhead released her own statement last night addressing the hate, clearing her name and, most importantly, wishing her friend well.
The 28-year-old’s statement begins QUOTE “I care about Demi just like all of you do. I have not said anything about this situation until now because her recovery has been of the most importance.I was not with Demi when the incident happened, but I am with her now and will continue to be because she means the world to me just as she does to all of you.”
Dani then addressed the hate she’s been getting and reminded people QUOTE “there is no need for any negativity towards the one who care about Demi at this time.”
The statement concludes QUOTE, “I know you’re all feeling lost without her at this moment in time. Remember that you have always been a community of Lovatics who LOVE. Please remember that when you take out your phones and start typing. Remember that we all love her more than we can ever put into words. Please continue to send her love during recovery.”
While Demi’s mom and younger sister liked Dani’s statement on Instagram in what seems to be support, many Lovatics aren’t as willing to move on from their conclusion that she enabled the alleged relapse.
One fan replied QUOTE “She needed sober support and you didn’t offer that. You guys drank, partied with her and did god knows what right in front of her face. You think that didn’t put pressure and stress on her?! If she says it didn’t she’s lying, and you should know better. My god.”
Another said QUOTE “how can you say you wasn’t with her if it was YOUR birthday party, something smells like... i don’t know... lies…”
Dani statement:
Demi is still recovering in the hospital with her close friends and family members by her side.
