Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) on Sept 22 issued a statement on the condition of three-time Olympic silver medallist Datuk Lee Chong Wei following viral news that he was diagnosed with third-stage nose cancer. BAM president Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria said Chong Wei is responding well to his treatment for early stage nose cancer. The shuttler has been receiving treatment in Taiwan over the last two months.
