Louis Tomlinson's Estranged Father Diagnosed With Liver Cancer

Louis Tomlinson’s biological father was diagnosed with liver cancer, and he is hoping this is his chance to reconnect with Louis
We’re learning a little more about Louis’ family life.
Louis Tomlinson made a surprise appearance at The NHS Heroes Awards 2018 in London on Monday night, just as news broke about his estranged biological father, Troy Austin.
Austin was diagnosed with liver cancer, but last week he had a life-saving operation to remove the 1 and a half inch tumour.
In an interview with The Sun he said QUOTE, “I’ve been crying tears of joy because I feel so lucky to have been given a second chance. Early diagnosis is everything.”
He experienced no symptoms and the diagnosis actually came from just a routine blood test. He blames smoking, drinking, and a poor diet for the tumor saying QUOTE, “Some days I wouldn't eat at all but would just drink and smoke. I would drink to celebrate the good times and drink to cope with the bad. Whatever life threw at me I would drink.”
Louis’ biological parents separated in 1997 when he was just 5 years old. His mother, Johannah then met Mark Tomlinson who Louis considers his real father.
Troy Austin has made attempts to reconcile with his son in the past, once when Louis’ son was born, and again in 2015 when he threatened to QUOTE, “drop a bombshell” in order to get his attention.
A month later he was arrested by police after they found him attempting to kill himself in a car after drinking too much alcohol.
Austin told The SUN that because his life is changing so much, he welcomes a reunion with Louis. He said QUOTE, "As for Louis, if he ever wanted to make contact then I would be happy for that to happen."
Unfortunately, Louis lost his mother back in 2016 to an aggressive form of leukemia, and his grandmother Tina passed away in 2017 from a rare bone marrow cancer. Wow. To say Louis has been through a lot is an understatement.
