Penang state executive councillor Chow Kon Yeow says the deadly landslide in Tanjung Bungah was caused by poor site management and does not warrant calls for the resignation of Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng.
A police report has been lodged over the deadly landslide in Tanjung Bungah, Penang, so that a probe over alleged “professional negligence” by the developer can commence as soon as possible.
The “work-site” accident, as decribed by Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, occurred on Oct 21, killing 11 people.
Lim has vowed to investigate the incident thoroughly by forming a state commission of inquiry.
