Over the weekend, a video surfaced online of Demi Lovato’s mom drunkenly joking about the Zika virus in Rio, Brazil. How did the video surface? Because Demi posted it herself.
Yup, Dianna Hart is guilty of joking while under the influence of DRANK. Clearly, she’s kidding about everyone at the Olympics in Rio getting infected with Zika though the Zika virus is a real concern, yall. Anyway, Demi thought her mom talking trashed with her southern accent all exposed was funny so she posted the video on her snapchat story and poof- the trolls came out and bit her hard! In fact, fans… if you can call them that, staged a #DemiLovatoIsOverParty on Twitter which went viral. The video is making the rounds on the internet and the firestorm is REAL. There’ve been some funny responses to the hate, like this person who wrote “We all know who is behind the #DemiLovatoIsOverParty hashtag,”with a pic of Taylor Swift throwing her arms up yelling it was me. But other people are coming out in her defense. One fan wrote “So #DemiLovatoIsOverParty is trending because of what her mum said but everyone is mute on Johnny Deep abusing woman.” And other people have been posting gifs of Demi looking like she owns the world with the caption Demi is so not over. Now, should Demi have thought twice about sharing this video or did fans over react to a drunken joke?
