: Demi Lovato recently revealed that her album Confident will be released on October 16. But, what can we expect from this album? Demi just spilled some serious details about her new album and we have all of the info right here for you!
We’re just about a month away from Demi Lovato’s new album, Confident. We’ve heard Demi’s first single, “Cool For the Summer” and her song “Confident” leaked online, but what else can we expect from this album?
Demi recently opened up to Billboard about one song on the album called “Father,” which is about the passing of Demi’s dad. The singer revealed to Billboard QUOTE The last song that I recorded [for the album] was called ‘Father,’ and I’m particularly excited for this song. I get very, very honest about the passing of my dad. My fans expect me to be honest, [but] what I think that people in general aren’t going to expect is the way that I sing the song. I took it more to a soulful, gospel kind of sound, and it’s the song that I think I might be most proud of on the album. END QUOTE
Demi’s father passed away in 2013, and it must’ve been a tough song to write. But, as she said, it’s a song she’s the most proud of, so we know it’s going to be beautiful.
Demi also told Billboard that “Cool For the Summer” wasn’t going to be her first single. She explained QUOTE Cool For The Summer’ actually wasn’t going to be my first single — it was actually going to be ‘Confident.’ But ‘Cool For The Summer,’ you can’t really release in October, so we were like, ‘Okay, you know what? I think we have a change of plans, and we’ll go with “Cool For The Summer.”’ It was really spontaneous but it worked, and I’m super excited with the way that things have played out so far. END QUOTE
Now that everyone seems to be loving Demi’s leaked track “Confident,” maybe she should release it as her next single!
