Descendants 2 Cast STUNS At Premiere Carpet & Dove Cameron Spills On THIS Nearly Cut Scene

The cast of Descendants 2 showed up and showed off. The actors and actresses of the Disney Channel Original Movie wowed on the red carpet at the movie’s big premiere at Hollywood’s ArcLight theatre. Dove Cameron who plays Mal (rhymes with “pal”) looked fiery in a red Vivienne Westwood gown and tousled hair. Similarly, Sofia Carson who plays Evie brightened up the carpet wearing a gold ruffled Vivienne Westwood dress.
We love that the cast didn’t take themselves too seriously and showed off tons of personality on the red carpet. Booboo Stewart got the message as well- wearing a bright gold suit paired with a fuchsia shirt. Also showing off major personality were Mitchell Hope, China Ann Mclain, and Cameron Boyce- who dared to go comfy in a pair of loafers.
Also daring is the new Descendants 2 movie. Dove Cameron recently told E! News the movie is quote, “Bigger and better than the first; the music is definitely elevated. It’s everything that it was, but just turned up 10 notches.” We like the sound of that!
Speaking of Dove, she revealed to J-14 that a scene was almost cut from the new movie due to her insane connection with her real-life boyfriend Thomas Doherty, who plays Harry Hook. Dove revealed quote, “You know that scene with the hook almost got cut because the chemistry was so intense that everyone were like, ‘The audience is gonna think this is about Mal and Harry.’”
And apparently everyone in the cast and crew knew that Dove and Thomas would end up together, even before they did. The director Kenny Ortega finally took Dove aside one day and got candid saying, “I think you guys would be really good together.” Don’t forget it was also Kenny who directed the High School Musical franchise which led to the high profile relationship between Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.
