First Look At Ariana Grande & Dove Cameron In Hairspray Live! Cast Photo

Welcome to Baltimore in the 60’s! Today People magazine released our first snapshot of the Hairspray Live! cast in their costumes for the upcoming live-action musical. Upon first glance our eyes dart to Ariana Grande dressed as Penny Pingleton in a yellow blouse and rainbow plaid jumper. Ariana is sporting some ombre pigtails, HUGE bangs, TONS of hairspray and looks absolutely adorable striking a pose! Behind her Jennifer Hudson is almost unrecognizable in a blonde wig as Motormouth Maybelle. Newcomer Maddie Baillio will star in the musical as Tracy Turnblad and tells People mag quote, “I still can’t believe this is happening. It’s like a dream.” Other faces you might recognize are Garrett Clayton as Link Larkin, Dove Cameron as Amber von Tussle, and Kristen Chenoweth as her Mom, Velma von Tussle. We’re excited that Derek Hough will be playing Corny Collins and there will be some special cameos by Billy Eichner, Sean Hayes, and Rosie O’Donnell. Hairspray Live! will take over NBC on December 7, so set your DVR and brush up on some Hairspray tunes before the big live-action event.
