The hearing of former premier Najib Abdul Razak's SRC International case kicked off at the Kuala Lumpur High Court this afternoon.
This makes Najib the first former Malaysian prime minister to stand in the accused dock for a criminal hearing.
Coincidentally, Najib became the sixth prime minister on this day exactly 10 years ago.
Attorney-General Tommy Thomas will be leading the team of 12 prosecutors while Najib's defence team consists of 11 members, led by Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.
