Dylan O’Brien might’ve just taken the lead for ‘Boyfriend of the Year’ after tweeting his support for his girlfriend Britt Robertson’s new show, Girlboss, so insert heart-eye-emoji here.
Dylan O’Brien doesn’t always tweet, but when he does, he dedicates his 140-character messages to his one and only.
Coming in at a whopping TWO tweets in 2017 so far, Dylan O’Brien has generally been known to keep his quiet on social media, but in a rare turn of events, the Teen Wolf star broke from the norm in support of his girlfriend Britt Robertson’s starring role in the brand new Netflix series Girlboss.
Dylan took to Twitter just this morning to simply remind fans that Girlboss is now available on Netflix starting today, with a short and sweet message reading, “#Girlboss out today on Netflix :)” adding a few heart-eyed emojis.
Britt is no stranger to the small screen, as she’s starred in many other TV and movie roles, but Britt opened up about her Girlboss character Sophia Amoruso, who is the IRL CEO of multi-million dollar fashion company Nasty Gal, saying QUOTE, “For me, what was really special about playing this character is the fact that she’s not perfect. She’s actually imperfect and she allows people to be that way and it showed me that it’s OK if you don’t know what you’re saying sometimes.”
The show will go inside the life of Sophia, along with the many hardships she’s faced within the company over the last few years when she revealed back in 2015 that she’d be stepping down as CEO of Nasty Gal to take on an exec chairwoman role, but has since resigned completely when the company filed for bankruptcy.
But what the show aims to relay is that whatever problems may arise, doesn’t always mean the end of an entire career. So if Britt’s badass portrayal of Sophia is anything like these two girl-bosses in real life, this could be one giant step further for her acting career – and thankfully the wait to start your binge is over, as the 13-episode first season is available NOW to stream on Netflix and conveniently just in time for you to cancel your weekend plans you were already dreading anyway.
So I want to know all your thoughts on Dylan’s sweet tweet in support of Britt, and if you’re planning on tuning into Girlboss tonight, so get to talking right down here in the comments and as always, be sure to subscribe. Thanks for hanging out with me here on Clevver News, I’m Ryland Adams. BYEE.
