First Look: Dylan O'Brien in Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials

Just when we thought Dylan O’Brien and the rest of the survivors escaped the treacherous maze in the movie, The Maze Runner… They have now gotten themselves into a lot more “heat” as this time around the sequel picks right back up in the action.
What’s up you guys, so Entertianment Weekly has released some of the still images from Maze Runner sequel, called The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials, and they’re just about as hot as, I don’t know… Dylan Obrien himself… In one still, we have the survivors hanging by their feet in what could only be a bottomless abyss of some sort. Another of Dylan’s character, Thomas, holding a giant gun, and one more of Thomas on the ground looking a little frightful… so these pictures only mean ONE thing… The sequel will not be one to disappoint.
And for those of you who are unfamiliar with the series, the sequel will pick up where the Maze Runner left off… When Thomas and the survivors discover that after they escaped the labyrinth walls, and found there really is a world outside, and that, of course, isn’t a very pleasant one!
The movie’s producer Wyck Godfrey…Who produced movies like the Twilight series and The Fault In Our Stars revealed that, QUOTE, “The first movie was the mystery of ‘Where are we and what is this place? And can we get out?’ But the second movie is about the repercussions of getting out and the discovery of what the world is actually like.”
The sequel will also begin with a revelation made by the characters that the maze was constructed by an organization to train young mind-wiped survivors after a massive solar flare devastated the planet. The movie’s director Wes Ball explained that QUOTE, “It has transformed the world into a desert with sand dunes that crawl and are swallowing the ruins of a lost world.”
And of course an action-packed movie wouldn’t be complete without some unwelcome visitors! Throughout the movie, the characters face attacks from infected humans known as Cranks. Wes also revealed that, QUOTE, “We don’t want to call them zombies, but they fit into that category. They’re not undead, but they are rage-filled.”
