But don’t worry guys, thanks to Dylan’s massive support system and the fact that he is indeed one tough cookie, he’ll be back on set in no time at all.
The Maze Runner’s third installment, The Death Cure, has been placed on a temporary hiatus as the film’s lead character played by Dylan O’Brien reportedly suffered multiple broken bones on Thursday while filming in Canada.
The director of the three movies, Wes Ball, has spoken out and sent heartfelt condolences in the form of a hand-written note via social media, writing QUOTE, “Well, it’s been a whirlwind of emotions these past few days. I’ve been overwhelmed with feelings of anger and sadness and guilt. But ultimately I find myself left with just a deep love and respect for Dylan. He is one tough cookie. I’m sorry for the grief this accident has caused his friends and family as well as my wonderful cast and crew. It’s scary seeing your friend get hurt, but fortunately, Dylan is going to be just fine. After a few weeks of rest and recovery he will be back up and running to finish our adventure together. All the best.”
Many of Dylan’s costars in the film have also sent their well wishes his way via Twitter, including the book series author James Dashner, who wrote, “I just want to let everyone know that yes, Dylan was hurt, but that he’s going to be okay. Not life threatening in any way. Production is postponed but certainly not cancelled. All that matters now is that Dylan recovers. We love you, Dylan!!!”
Dylan’s costar Kaya Scodelario posted a sweet photo collage of the cast, writing, “Thinking of you Dyl, sending love from all of us, see you soon.”
Even Dylan’s Teen Wolf castmate Max Carver sent well wishes, saying, “Sending you thoughts, prayers and a speedy recovery@dylanobrien”. And of course the love was felt throughout the Twittersphere where many of Dylan’s other friends and costars gave him a shout out including Arden Cho, Ian Bohen and Tom Choi among many others.
So here’s to wishing Dylan a speedy recovery and because of all the love and support, we’re sure he is well on his way, but now it’s your turn to spread the love and share all your thoughts and well wishes for Dylan right down here in the comments section, and after that, don’t forget to click right over here to check out a roundup of celebs tackling impressions of other celebs.
