The two singers were reunited at 106.1 KISS FM’s Jingle Ball last night and their massive smiles hinted that past feelings could be coming back!
Before we dive into the reunion of these two lets take a look back into the past to reminisce on how it all started.
I’m sure you all remember last year Ed's not-so-secretly implied song “Don’t” was about the messy love triangle between him, Ellie and his good friend Niall Horan. Ed sings about someone who cheated on him with a friend (a.k.a Niall Horan) and this all went down while all three of them stayed in the same hotel. Talk about drama right!
So we were left with a really confusing web of tangled lies and accusations up until June 2015. Leave it to Ellie to spill the truth about what really happened. In an interview with Elle UK, she said QUOTE, “I did go on a few dates with Niall but I was never in a relationship with Ed. I have absolutely no idea where that came from and why it was turned into such a big thing.”
Even after all that craziness it seems like no love is lost between Ellie and Niall because they had no problem with cozying up to each other for a photo backstage together last night. Before they hit the stage at the Jingle Ball these two were all smiles and looked pretty happy to be reunited…and those smiles don't lie. Considering that recent reports are saying Ellie just split from her musician beau Dougie Pointer, who knows what could happen in the future for Ellie and Niall.
