OMG you guys, Emma Watson just took her support for the Time’s Up movement to the next level.
That’s right! When Emma stepped on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair after party this weekend, she proudly showed off some new ink on her right forearm that spelled out the words “Times Up,” because apparently, wearing a “Time’s Up” pin just wasn’t going to cut it.
The new ink was spotted on Emma’s right forearm and was written in cursive script, and while we do LOVE her devotion to the cause, there was just one MAJOR problem: the new tat had a big typo!
Yupp… as it turns out, the powerful phrase spelled out on her arm was missing one vital thing… an apostrophe, and fans, well, they noticed. However, things could be worse because, luckily, the tattoo was just temporary, which Emma confirmed via Twitter.
Yesterday she tweeted, QUOTE, “Fake tattoo proofreading position available. Experience with apostrophes a must.”
Okay, so, “A” for effort? After all, if you thought wearing temporary tattoos was the only thing Emma has done to help the movement, you’d be wrong. Emma’s spoken out about the abuse of power and the injustices women face for quite some time.
After the Time’s Up initiative was announced, Emma wrote on Instagram saying, QUOTE, “The clock’s been ticking on the abuse of power. I stand in solidarity with women across every industry to say #TIMESUP on abuse, harassment, and assault. #TIMESUP on oppression and marginalization. #TIMESUP on misrepresentation and underrepresentation.”
Also, just last month, she donated approximately $1.4 million dollars to the U.K.’s Justice and Equality fund, so yeah, the temporary tat was just one of the many things she’s done to bring awareness to the movement.
But anyways, what do you guys think of Emma Watson’s new tattoo? Let us know in the comments section below, and then click right over here to check out who took home an Oscar at Sunday evening’s Academy Awards. Thanks for watching Clevver News, I’m your host Renée Ariel and I’ll see you next time!
