Gigi Hadid QUITTING Social Media? Talks Pressure To Be Perfect & Thyroid Disease In Reebok Panel

Gigi Hadid revealed that she will be taking a break from social media over the holidays to focus on herself and family. Sometimes you just need a break you know?
Gigi is keeping it real about her anxiety, the pressure she has felt to be perfect, and the importance of staying true to who you are.
Gigi participated in Reebok’s #PerfectNever campaign alongside Ruby Rose, Zoe Kravitz, and Lena Dunham to help inspire women to challenge the concept of perfection. Gigi revealed that she will be taking a month break from Twitter and Instagram for the holidays to focus on herself and career. She said QUOTE – “I’m going to take a break when I feel like it and when I come back and share it with you if you want to be supportive and still follow me I’m so grateful for that. But if you’re going to be negative or be upset that I had to be human for a month than maybe I don’t want your follow anyway. I’m so grateful for social media because it’s given me so much more in my career, but I also really respect my career without the social media aspect.” She stressed that she wants to pay attention to her profession as a craft and not lose the art in it aside from the money and contracts. With social media of course there is a constant pressure to be at your best and to please others which Gigi says has contributed to her anxiety.
Gigi also addressed how she feels about being named Model of the Year saying QUOTE - “That was voted on by 1000 people that I worked with this year, and I don't think half of them said, 'Gigi's pictures were the best of my pictures this years,' but maybe they said, 'I had a great day shooting with Gigi. She gave all her energy. She really tried to understand the concept, and showed interest.' I hope that's 50 percent of why I got the award, not just the pictures."
