If it weren’t for Zac and Vanessa, High School Musical wouldn’t be what it is today. During the HSM reunion, the cast shared their audition tapes from 2005 and well, you just HAVE to see Zac and Vanessa’s.
Ten years ago, High School Musical aired for the first time and it changed the game forever. Okay, maybe I’m being a little dramatic, but it did change the lives of the main cast members and became this huge phenomenon! During the High School Musical reunion on Disney Channel last night, the cast (minus Zac) got together to relive the magic and it was amazing.
Not only did Vanessa, Ashley, Corbin, Lucas, and Monique reminisce about their time on the musical, talked about their favorite dances and memories, they also showed their audition tapes from back in the day because what’s a reunion without a few old and embarrassing pictures and video tapes, am I right? While everyone else’s audition was amazing, it was Zac and Vanessa’s tape that stood out from the rest. Clearly the two had chemistry from the very beginning and the casting directors could NOT pass them up. Take a look.
They were perfect then and they’re still perfect now. As great as it was to see the cast get together, it wasn’t the same without Zac being present for it all. But even though he wasn’t physically there with everyone, he was there in spirit and by video. The actor took time out of his busy schedule to record a special message for everyone because, well, we’re all in this together, right?
After breaking free from the franchise, Zac has gone on to make movies left and right, so we can all safely assume that he’s simply just busy being a big star. However, OK! Magazine is reporting otherwise. According to their source, Zac didn’t attend the reunion because QUOTE, “The last time the two were at an event together, she was not comfortable because Vanessa’s new boyfriend isn’t cool with Zac.” Hmm, this report did come from OK! Magazine, so we could all just walk away from that silly rumor.
