IT ALL STARTS HERE... PROJECT "OK 2020" PT 1 - 3 BOXES of Good Stuff | RC ADVENTURES

YES!! I have been planning for such a long time, and the day is FINALLY HERE! For years viewers have been asking me to bring back a crowd favourite called "Project Overkill" - the ORIGINAL. This task is far more difficult than normal.. because the GMC Topkick body I used so many years ago.. was discontinued by Proline. I was finally able to source one on ebay.. but it was a part of another item for sale . Thankfully, with some convincing - the fellow sold it to me for a nice profit on his side. I HAVE MY BODY! Everything can be built around it. The Frame was a no-brainer, and I got it from Canadian manufacturer GCM. They are very active int he scale world.. and have some decent products. I like the CMAX starter frame I bought - as it is 19.7 inches long.. and I can customize the length to how I need it.
Once I had my frame.. I new the next item up would be the transmission. I need one that will operate smoothly.. and handle speed. I also need a transmission that will operate in MUD. Which transmission would I use.. and which one would stand up to the brute strength of a sensored brushless Hobbywing AXE 540 system.. Years ago I stumbled upon a company called SUPER SHAFTY! They make insane transmissions for an Axial SCX10.. and I knew this would be the ticket to an UNBREAKABLE!? transmission.
I have not ordered AXLES yet.. and Im still deciding on if I go the "OLD SCHOOL" route.. and stay with the original SCX10 axles.. or upgrade.. and go LARGER.. maybe to a PORTAL system.
