There’s not enough time in the world to truly explain and discuss Jake Paul, but it looks like he’s getting one more platform to entertain on YouTube.
Jake is the creator of Team 10, a group of popular YouTubers who work and collaborate with each other, and he has been at the center of dozens of controversies since the moment he picked up a camera. Recently though, the star has been focusing on serious topics as well as his usual rowdy and crazy ideas.
After the shooting in Parkland, Florida Jake traveled down to talk to victims and survivors and promoted stricter gun laws. He also sat down and talked with Michael Strahan about how he influences his viewers and the role he plays in their lives calling himself a QUOTE “role model, but, like, an imperfect role model.”
While he still has videos titled The Girlfriend Fortnite Distraction Challenge and I Taught My GF to Play Fortnite in Her Bikini, we’re starting to wonder if Jake is ready to take on more mature topics and content and it looks like this could be his next step.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Jake is currently in the works with YouTube’s paid service YouTube Red to create a talk show. Jake’s show will apparently have a late-night variety show feel featuring guests and games.
Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens' Propagate Content is producing the untitled series alongside Five All in the Fifth Entertainment, with Douglas Banker executive producing. The show could start filming as early as May and Jake will serve as both the host and an executive producer.
Although nothing has been totally confirmed, a YouTube spokeswoman did say QUOTE “Last year, we engaged in early development deals with a handful of YouTube creators as part of our normal process to evaluate new creative ideas. There is no series order currently in place."
We don’t know about you, but we’re actually kind of interested to see what he has to say and if he will keep things serious or basically have a second channel.
What do you think about this news and do you think Jake deserves his own talk show? Let us know in the comments below and then click here to see why there’s so much drama around Logan Paul’s newest music video. I’m Vivian Saldana, thanks for tuning in!
