Selena Gomez dominates at everything she does – and now she’s diving deeper in the world of creating TV, we’ve got the details right now on Clevver Newsfeed.
Selena Gomez - Disney star, film actress, chart-topping singer and now, executive producer. Get it girl!
The 23-year-old’s resume is looking pretty good especially she’s adding another TV producer credit to the list. Is there anything she can’t do? It was recently announced that Selena and Aaron Kaplan are teaming up with Freeform, which is a Disney owned company, for a coming of age story about a poor, young Latina girl growing up in East Los Angeles.
Inspired by a real young woman in East LA, they’re saying that it’ll be like a Latina version of Empire. Which, with all the attention and success Empire has gotten in less than 2 seasons, that’s not a bad role model for the untitled show to follow.
And this is actually the 2nd Executive Producer role Selena has had. With the same team, she’s EP along with her mom on the upcoming Netflix series based on the best-selling young adult novel, 13 reasons why.
While there aren’t MANY more details about either one of these shows, Selena seems to be creating her own empire and taking on all forms of entertainment. Did I also mentioned she’s working on her next studio album too?
