The cast for Jem and The Holograms movie is announced!! That's right, everyone, this classic 80s tv series is being turned into a live-action film as we've previously reported, all thanks to director Jon M Chu along with Hasbro, Blumhouse Productions and Scooter Braun Productions. Without further adieu, Aubrey Peeples will take on the starring role of Jem, the mysterious double-life rockstar who is the lead singer for the Holograms. Also in the band, Hayley Kiyoko is set to be Aja -- the lead guitarist and backup singer while Aurora Perrineau will take on the role of Shana who grew up with the other two gals, and she is synth drums, bass and backup vocals. And congrats are also in store for our friend Stefanie Scott who cast the role of Kimber, Jem's sister. How cool are these first look photos, ps?! Something that is super unique about this project is that YOU can get involved. In fact, if you know this popular show, you might notice that the fourth member of the Holograms is missing... Carmen is the character. She's described as a Mexican-American drummer who does backup vocals. PLUS, don't forget that the Misfits AKA the band who is direct competition to Jem and the Holograms -- haven't officially been casting... plus, there are a ton more characters for girls and guys to be filled too!
