How could Stranger Things get any stranger? The Netflix show just announced two new characters that it’s adding to its world.
Get ready to meet the two new faces you’ll see on the second season of Stranger Things!
Netflix just revealed which actors have been cast to play two new characters living in Hawkins, Indiana on Stranger Things. Actors Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery will play sister and brother AND be series regulars on the show’s upcoming season.
Sadie will play Max, a character with a complicated history who is generally suspicious of everyone around here. She’s described as confident, tough and with the look, behavior and interests more typical of a boy in the mid-1980s.
Dacre will play Billy, Max’s super confident and edgy older step-bother. He’s described as the kind of guy who isn’t afraid to breakup couples and steals girlfriends from their boyfriends. He’s also a champ at drinking game and drives a black Camaro. But while he’s very charismatic, underneath his charm lies a violent and unpredictable nature.
You may recognize these two actors! Dacre stars in the highly anticipated Power Rangers movie coming out in 2017. Sadie has been seen in American Odyssey, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Blue Bloods.
But they aren’t the only new series regular this season! Joe Keery, who plays Steve, and Noah Schnapp, aka Will, have been promoted from recurring roles to series regular cast members.
The only new series regular who still needs to be cast for the show’s second season is the adult role of Roman. Roman has been described as a male or female of any ethnicity between age 30 and 38.
