If there’s anyone who can flawlessly pull off every iconic female look throughout the years while calling all the women of the world to stand up for themselves, it’s definitely JLo.
The singer dropped the video for her latest single, ‘Ain’t Your Mama,’ and the whole thing is just incredible. To set the tone for “Ain’t Your Mama,” the video starts off with a recording of Hillary Clinton’s infamous women’s rights speech from 1995, which then leads JLo into her news cast where she calls on all of the women from each decade to stand up for themselves.
After the inspiring speech we see the singer morph into different women who were so inspired by Jennifer’s speech that they start rebelling against the men in their lives, which is basically the premise of the entire song and video.
But, can we just take a moment to talk about how amazing Jennifer looks when she’s wearing all of those iconic looks throughout each decade? From channeling her inner ‘50s housewife to your typical ‘80s working girl with a classic perm, there was literally no bad look for JLo and how she managed to pull off all those over-the-top hairstyles and outfits is beyond me.
The video eventually comes to an end with a present day JLo where she digitally invites all of the fed up women in Brooklyn to join her in an epic dance number on the street that definitely gives off major ‘Run the World’ vibes.
What can I say? It’s not a JLo music video without an impressive dance number. Anyway, what did you think of JLo’s newest music video? Did you love it or hate it?
