Jennifer Lopez To Receive MTV Video Vanguard Award at 2018 MTV VMAs

My queen JLo is about to set the VMAs on FIRE!
IN what’s probably the most well deserved award win of all time – Jlo is set to receive MTV’s Video Vanguard award.
And just like that Jenny from the Block has made it! This shouldn’t come as a total shock because Jennifer Lopez is an absolute icon, especially when you’re talking about her music video game. That said, nabbing this award is a HUGE honor. Previous winners include the likes of Michael Jackson, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake just to name a few.
The announcement came earlier today during a Facebook live chat Jennifer was having with host Sway Calloway. In true VMA fashion, JLo will also perform at the show which is set to go down in New York at Radio City Music Hall on August 20th! The whole show will air live on MTV at 9PM.
Beyond this incredible honor, JLo is also nominated for two awards for her “Dinero.” The legendary entertainer, who just celebrated her 49th birthday with family and friends, has sold – wait for it – 80 million records and is the first woman to never have a number one movie and film in the same week – for her movie The Wedding Planner and her album JLo to be exact. And honestly this woman never stops pushing boundaries and entertaining the world – she’s got a new project coming with Vanessa Hudgens and Milo Ventimiglia. And if my guess is correct, which I’m sure it will be, she’s going to kill it with her VMA show.
