Drake Confesses His Love For Rihanna in VMA Vanguard Award Speech At 2016 MTV VMAs

Stop everything! Drake just confessed his love for Rihanna and IT. IS. EVERYTHING.
After being totally MIA all night, Drake surprised us all by presenting RiRi with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award at the 2016 MTV VMA’s and his speech WILL make you melt.
Rihanna was honored at the VMA’s tonight in a BIG WAY, receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, MTV’s version of a lifetime achievement award, if you will, that has previously honored Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, even Michael Jackson, before his name was attached to the award, and that’s just to name a few. And tonight it was Rihanna who was chosen to receive the prestigious honor, and she deserved only the greatest speech in the world, which she totally got from Drake, who was not seen at the awards ceremony whatsoever up until he took the stage to present the honor.
I think the entire audience had finally come to accept that we would not be seeing Drizzy at the show tonight, so when he began walking up the stairs, dressed to impress in a tux, the crowd went nuts. Drake told the crowd of first meeting the singer, referring to her by her birth name, saying QUOTE “The first time I met Robyn Fenty was 2005,” before continuing with QUOTE “11 years later, we still all know Rihanna as the one and only Rihanna."
And as Drake went on to celebrate Rihanna, the singer gushed and giggled listening to the kind words spoken about her as the crowd cheered along.
AND THEN THE ENTIRE WORLD STOOD STILL AS DRAKE MADE A MAJOR PUBLIC CONFESSION.
Ah, yes! The sweet sound of Drake saying he loves Rihanna, even though, let’s be real, we all know that Drake loves Rihanna. But he said it this time, and that’s all that matters. And then the moment we had all been waiting for… Drake going in for the kiss!
Ok, so it wasn’t the epic lip lock we’d all been hoping for, but it was so unbelievably sweet in so many ways and it’s enough to temporarily satisfy my undying need for these two to be a thing already.
