Ariana & Nicki MTV VMAs Performance ►►

For the past few years, the winner of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award has performed a 15 minute set to close the show, but this year MTV decided to spread the love by having this year’s recipient, Rihanna, perform four times throughout the night. Rihanna opened the show with a performance that looked like a pink wonderland complete with a set that was straight out of candyland along with dancers in matching pink tracksuits and Rihanna rocking chaps. During this first set, RiRi performed Please Don’t Stop the Music, We Found Love, and Where Have You Been.
Then for her next set, Rihanna unleashed a full fledged party on the stage with a medley of Rude Boy, Whats My Name, and Werk.
There were sooo many dancers on that stage that I’m convinced my invitation got lost in the mail. Everyone looked like they were having such a good time and really it was just a reminder of just how fun Rihanna is. And thankfully the party kept going with her third performance of the night that included a medley of Needed Me, Pour It Up, and Bitch Better Have My Money. There was smoke, there was Technicolor, there were dancers all rocking Rihanna sweatshirts! Can you tell I’m excited because it made my life.
Then it was time for her final performance of the night and man on man did she bring it home. The stage looked so artsy as she floated out in this asymmetrical beige dress accompanied by a piano and belted out Stay, Diamonds, and Love On the Brain. And guys she just sounded amazing, you couldn’t help but just feel so proud of everything she’s accomplished. And one person who for certain was the most proud of Rihanna was her secret admirer, Drake who presented her with the Vanguard award. It made me believe in love again, I legit thought he was going to get down on one knee.
But I want to hear from the Rihanna Navy. Tell me what you thought of her performances in the comment section below and then click right over here to see Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj take the stage. And as always, don’t forget to subscribe. Thanks for hanging out, I’m your host Drew Dorsey and I’ll see you next time.
