The VMAs were PACKED with all kinds of different looks this year, but no one rocked the red carpet like our girls Beyonce and Nicki...
Beyonce went FULL-GLAM this year in a gorgeous sheer and sequined mint dressed that had the most stunning high fashion feathered collar we’ve ever seen. Like seriously, that collar looks like a tickle-attack waiting to happen. It was a bold look that no one except the Queen of Music could pull off. And speaking of Beyonce being the queen, it’s no surprise that her red carpet date slash daughter Blue Ivy is following in her mother’s fashion-forward footsteps and quickly becoming a modern princess in her own right. Blue accompanied her mom on the red carpet in a champagne colored tulle dress and tiara that was just too adorable to handle. All in all they were the definition of beauty and glamour, reminding everyone why Beyonce continues to be the highlight of every awards show red carpet she attends.
On the other end of modern Hollywood-style glamour was Nicki Minaj, who opted for a sleeker and sexier look in a striking royal blue gown. Nicki’s dress was long-sleeved, skin-tight, and featured cutouts and mesh detailing along the sides that showed off all her killer curves. It was definitely a more classic, sophisticated look than Nicki has worn in the past, but we’re absolutely loving it. The only downside to this dress was that it was soooo tight that it looked like she was struggling to walk down the carpet in it a little bit. But somehow she managed to make it down and look flawless in every picture, because slayers gonna slay.
