Well it looks like we can add another impressive skill to Nicki Minaj’s resume – master of impressions!
The rapper – who celebrates her 32nd birthday TODAY Monday December 8, Happy birthday, girl! -- was Saturday Night Live’s musical guest this past weekend, and stole the show. She put her comedic skills to use by portraying TWO of the world’s most famous faces, Beyonce and Kim Kardashian.
First, Nicki channeled her inner Queen B in a sketch that was a hip hop nativity scene. Kate McKinnon did a flawless Justin Bieber impression, and as JB impersonated Joseph, Jay Pharoh played Kanye West, aka Yeezus, and Nicki was Beyonce slash Mary. Check it out.
And let’s not forget about the narrator of the tale, Rihanna and the three wise men, aka Eminem, Rick Ross, and Riff Raff, who was played by the evening’s host, James Franco. It’s like Spring Breakers part two!
Moving along, Nicki stopped by weekend update to do her best Kim Kardashian, and I have to say, I’m impressed! As Kim, she talked about her Internet-breaking Paper magazine cover, and revealed to the public that the photos were simply taken out of context. We’ll let her explain.
She also explained how one photo was meant to represent a doctor’s visit, while the other was simply her teaching math.
As far as musical performances go, Nicki kicked things off with Skylar Grey and their song “Bed of Lies,” and closed them out by singing both “Only” and “All Things Go.”
