Johor Sultan urges federal government to repair pothole-riddled roads

In expressing hope that the federal government will provide a special allocation to repair the public infrastructure and properties damaged by floods in Johor, state ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar recounted his ride along the pothole-riddled Pasir Gudang Highway as well as from Jalan Johor to Mersing.

Noting how the road conditions posed a danger to motorists, he said: “Habis rim kereta saya pun bengkok (gone, my car rims are dented).”

Sultan Ibrahim said numerous places have still not recovered from the Feb 28 floods, especially Batu Pahat.

His Majesty said this when officiating at the first meeting of the Johor state legislative assembly yesterday.
