Beliebers were shocked, to say the least, when news of Justin cancelling the rest of his Purpose Tour made its way around the world. Although Justin remained silent on the matter after his decision was made public, a member of the infamous paparazzi managed to find the Biebs looking pretty happy at the beach in Santa Monica after the announcement.
For those who are still trying to make sense of the sudden cancelation, Justin simply stated in the pap video that he’s been touring for two years – basically insinuating that the time has just come to take a break. The Biebs also said he’s looking forward to QUOTE, “Just resting, getting some relaxation.”
As for what he wanted to let his Beliebers know, he said QUOTE, “I love you, I think you guys are awesome. Sorry for anybody who feels disappointed or betrayed, that’s not my heart or anything.” Obviously it’s going to take some time before his fans can understand why he cancelled on them since they all need to mourn and stuff.
While Beliebers are still feeling some type of way towards their fave, there are still a few people in Justin’s corner who support this tough decision.
Justin’s manager, Scooter Braun wrote a lengthy statement on Instagram thanking those who made the Purpose Tour possible as well as apologizing to the fans who were hoping to see him later this year. Scooter wrote QUOTE, “Congrats to Justin Bieber on an incredible tour and thank you to the entire cast and crew for your unending support. To the fans from all over the world who took part over the last 16 months over 6 continents, thank you. To Justin who gave it his all, night after night, thank you. And to those that won’t be able to see it, on behalf of myself, Justin and the team, we are sorry. That was never our intent. But a man’s soul and well being I truly care about came first and we must all respect and honor that. Justin will be back and I know he looks forward to performing for you and with you all again. One chapter ends and another begins. Thank you again.”
Surprisingly enough, John Mayer spoke out about the cancelation and applauded Justin for making such a tough decision. John tweeted, “When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going. We’ve lost so many great artists lately, I give Justin two thumbs up for realizing it was time to call it. You should too.”
I’m sure Justin appreciates your words, John. Do you guys agree with him or are you still angry Justin cancelled his last remaining tour dates? Let me know in the comment section below!
