Justin Bieber Gets Candid About Weed Use & Putting It All On The Line For Selena Gomez

And by really ground-breaking topics, I’m talking about things like smoking weed, his trusty sidekick Scooter Braun and OH DUH, his everlasting love with Selena Gomez…
You’d think Jelena chatter would’ve fizzled out, like, I don’t know, years ago, but in the wise words of Selena herself, the heart must really want what it wants… Justin once again opened up to i-D Mag about the intense love he shared with Selena, saying, “I think with that relationship…I put so much of myself on the line with her, because I was so distant with everyone else. So it’s like, you have the world who’s loving you but it’s not like they know my heart — they don’t know me.”
He goes on to say that QUOTE, “When I found that love I was just like, ‘Woah, I want to hold on to this.’ And I just put everything into it and in reality there’s just no holding back. You’re just like, ‘This love feels so good.’”
But while he’s still pining over his ex, there IS at least one person who’s holding Justin afloat and giving him all those lovin’ feels. JB gushed about the impact his manager, Scooter Braun, has had on him, saying, “Scooter is probably one of the smartest people that I have ever met. He keeps me driven, for sure. Because the artist always wants to chill. Like, ‘I made my money. I just want to chill’. But he figures out ways for me to get excited about what I want.”
However, Justin makes sure of one thing that he DOESN’T want, and that is to be known as a pothead, to put it in simple terms. He opens up all about the perception people have on marijuana and smoking weed, saying, “At the end of the day, there are people who don’t think that’s good. And if they don’t feel that’s good then I don’t want to make people feel uncomfortable. So I’m not going to put it in their face. You’ll never see me smoking. Because that is not who I am.”
OK, Biebs, we know you know smoke weed, it’s not exactly a surprise here anymore… BUT we gotta hand it to him, at least he’s trying to clean up his act, right?
But he then continues to validate his points by saying, “If it’s something I do then it’s something I do, but it’s not who I am and what I want to put on blast for the world to see. Like, who’s Snoop Dogg? That’s the dude who smokes a lot of weed. That’s become his identity almost. And I don’t want my identity to be anything but who I am and what my music is portraying me to be.”
