Wouldn't it be awesome if justin bieber gave you a puppy? Wouldn't it be a lot less awesome if that puppy needed a very expensive surgery and you got stuck with the bill?
Well that's exactly what happened when justin bieber gave away another pet of his to a back up dancer.
This is now the third time that justin has pawned off one of his “beloved” pets to someone else due to his busy work schedule. First it was a hamster, then it was a monkey. And now it's a 7 month old Chow pup. The lucky recipient of the pup was background dancer C.J salvador, who told tmz during a recent checkup they found out Todd the pup was born with severe hip dysplasia, and vets say it's likely he won't be able to walk by age 1.
The corrective surgery would cost C.J approximately 8,000 dollars, but thanks to word on the street, and 90 donors – including JADEN SMITH. Little puppy Todd will be getting his surgery.
Now there are two sides to every story, C.J stated that Justin didn't know about the hip dysplasia when he gave him away. BUT.. Justin didn't offer to help to pay any of the bill.
Look, I get it Justin isn't obligated to pay the bill if he had no idea about the dogs birth problem, but anyone who has owned a pet before understands that having an animal is like having a 3 year old around you all the time. It takes consistency, attention, and love to raise any kind of pet in a good environment. And being world famous, constantly going on tours, recording, writing, press junkets, doesn't really lend a positive lifestyle for having a pet.
C.J salvador just posted on his instagram today stating QUOTE: “JUST TO CLEAR THE AIR”
Todd is a Salvador. My parents adopted him which now gives US the responsibility of taking care of him.
I did not ask JB for money because he has nothing to do with the situation. I have had an amazing professional relationship with him for over 5 years and I plan on contributing to his camp for as long as I can.
The breeder did not notify anyone or was oblivious to the fact that Todd was born with this birth defect. My family found out about his condition when they took him in for a check up before they had him neutered.
It really troubles me how the media can make a beautiful and inspiring situation into a petty story to make someone else look bad. #page6
My parents and I are extremely grateful to everyone who supported with Todd's fundraising.”
What a stand up guy, before you guys go brigading, just remember at the end of the day. Mr. Salvador could have refused to take the puppy, but he made the choice himself to say yes, and my doing that, he inherited all the problems. Known or unknown. It's a simple as that.
Give a dog a bone here! I hope Todd's surgery goes well, and Justin finally learns that mayyybe owning a pet and being a world famous musician don't really go hand in hand at the moment. Who knows, maybe third times a charm.
