Is it just me or is it 2014 again?
While some Jelena fans are ecstatic about the reunion, the rest of the world is literally like, Selena, what are you doing? Both Justin and Selena put Twitter in a WILD frenzy after they were both spotted spending most of Sunday by each other’s side.
It all started when the former couple was seen grabbing breakfast at an LA café and then later fans spotted the two sitting right next to each other at church. Of course, after all this news broke out, Jelena fans were shook to their core.
One fan wrote in all caps, “JUSTIN AND SELENA. SELENA AND JUSTIN. TOGETHER IN 2017. I LOVE MY PARENTS.” While another tweeted QUOTE, “Issa good afternoon for me because Selena and Justin are hanging out and being cute and Ariana Grande exists. I love life.”
Even though a few fans were happy that the two were back in each other’s lives, others were so upset by this move on Selena’s end. So much so that they used Dua Lipa ‘s ‘New Rules’ to try and shame Selena.
One user wrote, “BREAKING NEWS: Selena Gomez broke Dua Lipa’s rules.” While another user told the world which rule Selena broke by tweeting, “Dua Lipa is gonna beat her ass, she broke rule #3 do not be his friend.”
And others were just upset in general with one fan tweeting, “This week was going by so f**king good for Selenation. And then we get this explosive toxic bomb in our faces today. Goodbye.”
BUT, according to TMZ, no one and we mean no one was as upset by this little reunion than Selena’s family. One of her family members opened up to the outlet and revealed that many of them haven’t forgiven Justin for his behavior during Jelena’s on-again-off-again relationship over the years.
They said QUOTE, “Justin is a vile human and will never be accepted by us. As long as she is even speaking to him in any way, it is not only disrespectful to everyone around her, it is disrespectful to herself.” Wow. Tell us how you really feel.
On top of this wild mess, many started wondering about Sel’s relationship with The Weeknd. Some fans noted that Abel unfollowed Selena on Twitter, and while it’s true that Sel and Abel don’t follow each other on Twitter, they are still very much connected to each other on Instagram. It is very possible that Abelena are just fine and that Sel just hung out with Justin because exes can totally be friends.
