Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has apologised for joking about containers being used as a makeshift morgue for those who died from Covid-19.
Sanusi claimed that his joke was taken out of context.
"I would like to apologise for my joke yesterday which was made viral and taken out of context," he told a press conference at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in Sintok, Kedah.
Sanusi said his joke was for journalists and not for public consumption.
