Kesha & Dr. Luke Battle Over Unreleased Medical Records

The Kesha vs. Dr. Luke legal war is still waging on, and this time they’re battling over Kesha’s medical records…
According to a legal papers filed by her attorney on Monday, Kesha has requested a protective order against Dr. Luke to ensure QUOTE, "any personal medical records, any diagnoses, or the names of any of her medical providers" stay confidential.
After Kesha made public allegations about Dr. Luke, saying that he sexually assaulted, harassed, and abused her during the years they worked together under Sony’s music label, she was required to provide the court with medical records dating back to 10 years to the court, including gynecological, psychiatric, and rehabilitation records. Kesha fears that without the protective order against Dr. Luke, he could potentially release the information in an attempt to damage ruin her music career, public persona, and personal life.
Meanwhile Dr. Luke’s lawyer Christine Lepra gave a response to Kesha’s filing, telling People Magazine QUOTE, “Because Kesha made public accusations and in the case that she was allegedly harmed by Dr. Luke, the Court ordered her to produce her medical records. Now, Kesha wants to hide her records, while continuing to make self-serving, selective and misleading statements to hurt my clients publicly.” Dr. Luke has publicly denied Kesha’s claims of sexual assault and abuse since February.
It probably goes without saying, but considering the only thing Dr. Luke would gain out of releasing Kesha’s personal medical info would be to potentially defame or humiliate her, we really hope the court sides with Kesha on this.
