Just when Kim Kardashian thought she was out of the woods over her shapewear drama, renaming it may have actually made things worse.

What’s up guys? It’s Drew Dorsey here with Clevver News and Kim Kardashian changed the name of her shapewear line from Kimono to Solutionwear.

You probably remember that Kim was accused of cultural appropriation for trademarking Kimono which is associated with traditional Japanese garments.

The shapewear line which includes sizes for women of all shapes, sizes, and skin complexions was actually super exciting to me before all this controversy.

I mean after all, Kim is the queen of a cinched waist, I’m shocked she didn’t do this earlier.

And I still can’t figure out why she didn’t just call the shapewear line KKW Body and give her body foundation a different name.
But anyway, she posted the rebranding news on Twitter with pics of her wearing the slimming undergarments with the caption “Solutionwear.”
And just when you think that this name couldn’t possibly be offensive, you’re wrong.

While some fans on Twitter appreciated the name change, others have found new reasons to dispute the name “Solutionwear.”

And yeah, I see where that person is coming from, we are in the age of body positivity I don’t know who the Kardashians run these ideas by, but it seems like they may need some more help.

Others though are accusing Kim of doing this all on purpose as a publicity stunt. I mean, the Kards are infamously known for turning scandals into money-making fame right?

One person wrote quote, “This was such a manipulative marketing tactic, the old “make a really bad mistake and then correct it to gain even more attention while looking good simultaneously” LOL please stop”
And another agreed and said quote, “Yeah, it was pretty good promotion in your way. Not only you insulted foreign culture, you manipulated Japanese pride for your brand launching for free. Well done.”
I really do think she was trying to do the right thing by changing it but sometimes it seems like Kim can never win. I don’t really believe that she would intentionally offended people just for her brand launch.

Alright guys, I want to hear what you think about all this.

What do you think of the new name, Solutionwear? And do you think this was all just a marketing strategy?
