Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West have officially hired a surrogate to carry their third child.

And it comes with one hefty price tag.
Kim Kardashian West has made it very clear on Keeping Up With The Kardashians that she’d like to expand the West family. Multiple reports confirm that Kim and Kanye have now hired a surrogate to bring their third child into the world. The couple’s brood currently includes big sister North and little brother Saint.
Kim suffers from “placenta accreta” where the placenta grows into the wall of her womb and prevents it from easily detaching at childbirth. Doctors have warned that this condition makes a third pregnancy for the reality star potentially life threatening. So the hefty price tag for a surrogate seems to be a no brainer- when it’s Kim’s health on the line.
Kim and Kanye have reported secured their surrogate through an agency and have agreed to a forty five thousand dollar fee, paid in monthly installments, along with a sixty eight thousand dollar deposit. In addition, if the surrogate produces twins she gets an extra five thousand bucks. That’s a whopping one hundred and thirteen thousand dollar investment for the couple. On top of that, there’s a laundry list of things the surrogate cannot do while pregnant including drinking, saunas, hot tubs, dyeing their hair, and more.
