Incarcerated former opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim predicts that new taxes or an increased and broadened GST will be imposed should BN win the next general election. In a statement today he said when Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak unveiled the 'mother of all budgets', many promises were made in 'an attempt to hoodwink the people into supporting BN in the coming general election'.
He pointed out that there was a hole in Budget 2018 as it fails to show how the government will balance expenditure and revenue.
