#KiniNews: Bloomberg article vindicates us, says Daim's wife; 'Akmal's statement is an exaggeration'

[KiniNews] Na’imah Abdul Khalid, the wife of former finance minister Daim Zainuddin, has contended that a Bloomberg report vindicates both of them.

After lodging a police report at the Petaling Jaya police station today, she claimed the international news media report showed that they were subjected to politically motivated investigations and trumped-up charges instigated by Anwar Ibrahim.

Both the Prime Minister's Office and the MACC had previously denied the allegations in the article.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, PKR Youth communications director Haziq Azfar has taken aim at Umno Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh over his “exaggerated” statement regarding his willingness to go to court on the issue of the halal certification.

His claim that he is out to defend Islam and the Malays in the issue of halal certification is, in fact 'lebih sudu dari kuah', he said.
