[KiniNews] Police have detained Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh upon his arrival in Kota Kinabalu this morning.

The Umno Youth chief could be heard in a mobile phone video recording saying “No fear, no surrender” as he was escorted into a waiting police car at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, electoral watchdog Bersih decried Najib Abdul Razak’s judicial review leave application to allow him to serve the remainder of his jail term under house arrest.

This was due to the current practice of house arrests only being granted to those serving minor offences with prison sentences under four years through the Licensed Prisoner Release Programme (PBSL), the Bersih steering committee said.
