#KiniNews: Voice data from Elmina plane CVR retrieved, says Loke; Mat Sabu hits back at Hadi

[KiniNews] Transport Minister Anthony Loke has revealed that the authorities have managed to retrieve data from the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) of the aircraft that crashed onto the Guthrie Corridor Expressway near Bandar Elmina, Shah Alam, on August 17.

Loke added that analysis of the audio recording retrieved in the United States is currently ongoing and an initial report is expected to be out in about two weeks.

"We managed to retrieve the recording. It has the pilot's voice, which has become a source of investigation.The recording is very clear, and an analysis is currently ongoing," Loke told a press conference in Putrajaya today.

The CVR had been sent to the US after some technical issues and limitations prevented the retrieval of the audio recording.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu has kept to his promise to rebut the “lies” of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.

In his speech at a ceramah in Simpang Jeram, Muar last night, Mat Sabu also claimed that PAS severed its ties with DAP in PR not because the latter rejected hudud, but because the Islamist party wanted to form a 'unity government' with Umno.
