[KiniNews] Jeli MP Zahari Kechik has become the fourth Bersatu lawmaker to pledge his support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership, citing the wellbeing of his constituents.
Zahari said he realised the people must be prioritised and development must proceed without compromise.
Zahari also clarified there was no coercion or pressure to support Anwar, said he would remain loyal and committed to Bersatu.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang has given PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang 48 hours to prove or retract the allegations against him and his party.
The ultimatum comes 24 hours after Lim’s son, Guan Eng, gave PAS MP Siti Mastura Muhammad 48 hours to substantiate her claim that he is related to former Communist Party of Malaya leader Chin Peng and Singapore’s first prime minister Lee Kuan Yew.
