“Strip That Down” is Liam’s first single after One Direction’s devastating split early last year and with a feature from the hip hop group Migos, it’s clear Liam is ready to move on and up!
The song was already teased by Migos’s Quavo on Tim Westwood’s radio show last week. He said, “I just came from a video today. My boy Liam from One Direction.” and later added, “I wasn’t even supposed to say that. It’s gonna be a surprise though.” Quavo. The definition of surprise kinda means you’re not supposed to say the surprise before the surprise actually happens.
The only hint of vocals we’re hearing is a steady “oh yeah yeah yeah” and some vocoder lyrics saying, “Damn girl. Love when you hit that ground girl.” Woah there Liam. Calm down I can’t handle this sexy side of you. But even with a 20 second teaser, I’m already here for it.
It’s been quite the year for Liam! Aside from his new music, he also has a new baby! Only one photo of Bear Payne has been shared so far of Liam holding him extra tight. With a dad like Liam and a mom like Cheryl Cole, he’s destined to be one talented kid.
But what’s with the name Bear? A fan recently tweeted about an interaction with Liam at a meet&greet in Chicago saying, "He said that he's really into traditonal names and cheryl is really into outlandish unique names. But he didn't even fight about it because cheryl was the one doing all the work,"
